About Trey Richardson

Biography

Dr. Richardson is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and specializes in the care of patients with chronic kidney disease who are being evaluated for, or have received, a kidney transplant. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His internal medicine residency, general nephrology fellowship, and transplant nephrology fellowship were completed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. His particular interests include medical education, quality and process improvement, expanding access to kidney transplantation, and preventing cardiovascular disease in kidney transplant recipients.

A native of Alabama, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, reading, and rooting for the Crimson Tide.
