I am grateful to Dr. & Ms. McElderry for patiently answering my many questions. Dr. McElderry calmly and dispassionately explained the options available to me and then carefully answered the questions that allowed me to make an informed decision. I now have NO reservations regarding my decision to have an ablation and look forward to having it sooner rather than later. My wife, daughter, and I are all confident that I am in good hands.

Access remains the challenge for UAB medicine- once through the gates the system is wondrous. Long ER waits and protracted waits for Clinic appointments undermine the excellence. Cardiology was exemplary of how good the system can be.

A very timely appointment. I arrived on time. Call back exactly on time. Most Doctor appointments are always 10 minutes to an hour late.

Dr. McElderry has a great bedside manner. He is very compassionate and always takes extra time to explain things and answer any questions you might have.

I have been a patient for over a decade and this was the longest wait time I have experienced. It took over three hours to complete the EKG and the MD appointment.

To be honest it's because when I had my ablation, the Dr did not do what he said. He said he had a good idea what the trigger was and if not he would just back out, but instead he cut another nerve in my heart and now I have rhythm issues. On checkups like yesterday he is only interested in rhythm and palpitation and for other symptoms just says see my normal cardiologist. Seems like he doesn't have a couple of minutes to listen. His staff seems more concerned than him.

Every staff member was kind, courteous, & thoughtful, explaining everything thoroughly and respectfully.

Receptionist was not friendly but I believe was overwhelmed with the amount of ppl checking in. Wait times were horrible. Was there for 4 hrs just to have EKG and see McElderry. Clinic staff was fantastic. Waiting area was very dirty out by reception area.

Pleasant and I formative staff. Made aware the Provider was running late at time of check in which helped to know in advance for other events scheduled on my day. BP check staff explained all things well and thorough documentation of meds. EKG tech explained everything as she did it very well. Very personable. Resident Fellow took lots of time listening despite staff running behind and Doctor likewise is very knowledgeable which grows confidence and was patient despite a very busy morning and schedule.

I was extremely impressed with my Provider and have already told several people about him. I have several MDs in my family and were even bragging to some of them about him 😂. He was very knowledgeable, kind, did not act rushed for a single second and to me that is very important. I am so very thankful I was referred to him.
