Timothy Johnson, MD

Dr. Tim Johnson is a glaucoma specialist with extensive experience in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and other complex eye diseases. A Birmingham native, he earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital, one of the nation’s premier eye institutions. Prior to joining UAB Callahan Eye, Dr. Johnson practiced ophthalmology in Tuscaloosa for more than a decade. A prolific researcher, inventor, and award-winning physician, he remains committed to advancing eye care through clinical excellence, innovation, and education.
