He was able to give us new ideas on treatment plans being that this is our 9th Dr. that can be a tall order. He was honest about what he could and couldn’t do and made us feel very comfortable and optimistic about my future health.

Dr. Powell deserves an award for his exceptional care and if he ever does receive an award, I would want to personally give it to him and thank him!

The staff and my doctor were amazing.

The nurses... and staff made me feel so very comfortable... They were all very professional and I felt that they really loved their jobs... Except one nurse that was apparently having a bad day because I only asked her for directions and she made it seem like I shouldn't be there if I didn't know how to get where I needed to be.... However, I'm old enough to know that there will always be ""one""!

I would like to say that I was treated like I was part of a family from the time I walked into the doctor office for my initial consultation until the time I was discharged after surgery. My only complaint was the valet at St. Vincents. He was rude and acted as if I was a complete bother to him. Not pleasant dealing with him as I arrived for my surgery. However, as a RN myself, I was very impressed with UAB!

Dr. Powell is phenomenal! He is very professional yet personable and answers all questions very informatively. This has been the biggest surgery I've had and with it has been a breeze. Every physician/ doctor should strive to be like Dr. Powell. He is an asset to UAB and should be appreciated and respected by all. His nurse, Cynthia is also great! She is kind, very professional and has a beautiful smile. I will never use anyone else if I have any further needs.

Dr Thomas was extremely nice and very informative. The front desk lady was so nice and that is so rare now a days. The triage nurse and the nurse who did the interview were so nice and very comforting. Over all a wonderful experience especially when you are already worried and uncomfortable.
