About Sushanth Reddy
Biography
Dr. Sushanth Reddy is an Associate Professor within the Department of Surgery Division of Surgical Oncology. He is the Surgical Head of the UAB Pancreaticobiliary Disease Center, Associate Director/Medical Director of the Division of Surgical Oncology, the Associate Director of the UAB General Surgery Residency Program, and the State Cancer Chair for Alabama. He is a busy clinician with a focus on diseases of the liver, pancreas, and esophagus/stomach including innovative approaches to these problems. He is sought out by patients and colleagues throughout the country for his clinical expertise. He has an active research interest in improving access to cancer care for the people throughout the Deep South (and especially in Alabama).

Dr. Reddy explained everything and then seriously looked at me and said “what questions do you have for me?”. He was very attentive to my concerns and presented options for down the road but emphasized taking g o e step at a time and re-evaluating after each step. I was quite impressed with him and his intern.
