Scott Anderson, MD

Dr. Anderson is board-certified in both general and pediatric surgery and has worked at UAB and Children’s of Alabama since 2010. He is the director of the ECMO program at Children’s of Alabama and is the program director of the UAB Pediatric Surgery Fellowship. A native of Iowa, Dr. Anderson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and began his medical education also at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, graduating in 2003. He completed his surgical residency in general surgery at the University of Florida in 2008, and subsequently completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the University of Florida in 2010.
