About Michael Mansour

Biography

Dr. Michael Mansour is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical School and served as a clinical trainee at the National Institutes of Health during his medical education. He obtained internal medicine residency training at the Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and cardiology fellowships at the University of Florida and at Harvard University. He has served on the faculty of the University of Florida and the clinical faculty at Emory University and at the University of Mississippi Medical School. He has served as president of the Mississippi State Medical Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has served as secretary of the Board of Trustees of American College of Cardiology and has served as Chair of the Board of Governors of the American College of Cardiology. He has board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular CT. His clinical interests focus on general cardiology, population health and preventive cardiology and cardiovascular imaging. He currently is appointed as Director of Cardiac CT at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
