About Luke Shumaker

Biography

Luke Shumaker completed medical school and Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed urology residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He went on to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive urologic surgery and robotic reconstruction at Temple University in Philadelphia. His academic and clinical interests include ureteral stricture disease, bladder neck disease, urethral stricture disease, and sexual medicine.

    I felt rushed out after my procedure and recovery.the discharge nurse agent was in a hurry and urgent to move me out the area not good.

    Not good. The nurse was good but at our doctors visit we understood something else was gonna be done that day besides the light.

    Dr. Shumaker was knowledgeable, articulate, patient, respectful, and compassionate when explaining that one of my kidneys is no longer functioning.

    The doctor and his staff seem to bring new outlook to urology and not just basic stuff. My situation is complex and they thought on a broader spectrum to attempt to address the issues I am having.

    Great experience. Dr was patient & took time to answer our questions. Felt like he really cared.
