They make you feel very welcomed when walking into this modern touch establishment. It was my second visit, and I really like my doctor so far. I would definitely recommend him.

Scheduling didn’t schedule me correctly. I was told that Dr. Unger also treat knees for osteoarthritis. Although I had seen him before for plantar fasciitis, I didn't intend to see him again for it. I felt like it was a waste of time and money because what he had me to do before worked so this appointment wasn’t necessary. I’m thankful that he referred me to the right doctor to address my concern though.

Surprised everyone was so friendly and attentive. This is hard to find nowadays. They didn’t leave me in some cold room indefinitely. Dr. Unger took the time to talk and discuss my case and gave me honest feedback. I did not feel rushed to get in and out.

Yes, I am a UAB loyalist. I find your facilities, doctors, technicians & staff to be the absolute best, most professional, and knowledgeable about any questions I have. Dr. Kenneth Unger & Dr. [ ] are so next level (I continuously refer potential business to my UAB doctors, especially to Dr. [ ], and I have no plans on stopping). Huge thank you to UAB Medicine... It's hard to make one feel delighted when leaving a doctor's office, however your doctors accomplish this rarity swimmingly! Very grateful!

Yes. I had 10:00am scheduled on my calendar but upon registering, I was told that my appointment was at 8:00a.m. so I was unable to see the doctor because I was told that I was late and needed to reschedule. I was given a number to call and I did. Upon calling, the scheduler saw that I had missed my appointment but that Dr. Unger had an 11:15a.m. available. I came back to see Dr. Unger and the nurse completed my vitals and informed me of that the doctor would be in shortly. Upon entering the room the doctor said""you missed your appointment at 8:00a.m "" in an angry tone. and I said yes that I had it scheduled on my calendar for 10:00a.m. and that I am faithful in keeping all of my appointments. I informed him that the scheduler said that he had an 11:15 a.m. and that I could return. He was visibly upset that I was permitted to return to see him. He responded that he had given the scheduler a piece of his mind about this. In essence, he should have had me return on another day. I was clearly baffled that a medical doctor had an opening but was not willing to see me, the patient. Dr Unger's disposition was what I would not expect in a doctor concerned about a patient's care. I was clearly undervalued as a patient by a heath care provider.
