About Emma Lucas
Biography
Emma Lucas, Ph.D., MSW, MPH is an assistant professor and clinical neuropsychologist in UAB's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Lucas received her doctorate from Palo Alto University in 2022. She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham - Birmingham VAMC Consortium and her postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center and the Road Home Program. Prior to completing her doctorate degree, Dr. Lucas received a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Social Welfare (MSW) from the University of California, Berkeley. Clinically, Dr. Lucas provides a combination of neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based treatment to individuals with various neurological and psychological disorders. She enjoys working with patients with acquired brain injuries and individuals with complex medical histories. She has experience working with individuals with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, somatic symptom and related disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders.
