Dr. Addis specializes in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography. He has a particular clinical interest in structural heart disease and the perioperative care and imaging guidance of minimally invasive or percutaneous interventions for valvular disease. His research interests include pregnancy and the intersection between preeclampsia and cardiovascular disease, the effects of cardiopulmonary bypass on erythrocyte rheology, and perioperative echocardiography.
