Dr. Khoury is a graduate of UAB School of Medicine and UAB’s emergency medicine residency program and now serves as the residency program director. In addition to medical student and resident education, his interests include leadership development, resident mentorship, and hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Khoury served as a lead mentor in UAB School of Medicine’s Learning Community Program and also devoted time to teaching the Introduction to Clinical Medicine course prior to his appointment as residency director. He has completed his Master of Science in Health Administration and is involved in numerous hospital-wide initiatives and committees. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Khoury has lectured on selected emergency topics both nationally and internationally, with a focus on resident education, leadership development, and fostering and developing relationships with emergency medicine departments abroad.
