About Candace Marten

Biography

Candace Marten, PsyD, MBA, is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor in the UAB Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. With over 15 years of clinical experience, she specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex neurocognitive conditions, including memory disorders, traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions.

Dr. Marten has trained in various specialty-focused facilities that includes inpatient, outpatient, and neurorehabilitation settings. She is deeply committed to using evidence-based neuropsychological methods to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Marten received her undergraduate degree in Psychology, with honors, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology and Geropsychology Concentrations from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta. She went on to complete an internship in Neuropsychology at Penn Medicine - Lancaster General Hospital, followed by a fellowship at the Behavioral Institute of Atlanta.
