When me and my husband walked into highland hospital we were greeted by the front desk told us where we needed to go went up to the office and the lady at the front desk was cordial was nice smiled when the tech called me back he was really good matter of fact it was his first time there in that building he was very nice the nurse practitioner was very thorough was very thorough on explaining what they were going to do to get my gallbladder out everybody was very pleasant

Horrible experience with Breanne McGriff, I was pretty much fat shamed about my BMI and was told that there was nothing that could be done for me. If I lost weight then they would consult me. But how can I lose the weight necessary to have the procedure done, if I can not physically be active enough. Also, I stated that I couldn't even perform my job which requires physical activity. Which I was met with go to the weight loss clinic across the hall. Just very unprofessional bedside manners. I will not use UAB again for any of my medical concerns. I came there for help to be turned away and pretty much fat shamed. Highly unprofessional and uncaring. If that is the way a patient that truly needs help is treated, core values need to be re-evaluated.

Very thorough and concerned

Overall extremely pleased. Was able to secure fairly ""soon"" appointment, provider came in knowledgeable re my history and patiently put up with my anxious chatter. After checking in, barely had time to sit down before called for appointment.
