I really enjoyed Dr. Shah. He was very attentive and put out a reasonable plan of care for my medical problem. He has operated on my son in the past and we all loved him then and I continue to love him again!

It went fine overall, had to wait for a while beyond my appointment time. The visit was also extremely fast, so that I forgot to ask some questions to Dr Shah. Both physicians who saw me were very friendly.

I feel pretty frustrated by my experience at UAB Ortho. Dr. Shah is a friendly guy but i dont feel like he took my life into consideration at all— i am a highly active person who does a high impact sport and he gave me no insight into the recovery process. He immediately advocated to cast my ankle for a sprain which as far as i can tell is an outdated practice that ultimately slowed my recovery. He also failed to introduce the med students/residents/fellows (unsure) who came into my appointment which is disrespectful. Overall, i feel i would have been better off not going to a dr especially bc his approach to recovery is to use common sense. I will not be back to uab ortho and will not recommend it to anyone in need of an orthopedist. It’s really disappointing to see a doctor who doesn’t take quality of life into patient care.

Loved Dr Shah and everyone in the practice I spoke with while there. Dr. Shah was very direct and gave me all the information regarding my foot problem. He then ordered an MRI for a more in depth look to see if I need surgery.

long wait times, they'll call and ask you to come early just to sit for 3-4 hours. too much back and forth about diagnosis, no clear answers.

Dr. Shah and his fellows are always amazing. I love the way they carefully listen to him and they are always kind like Dr. Shah. Going to the Dr usually stresses me out in the worst possible way, but Dr. Shah puts me at ease. He’s so nice and smart.

Dr. Shah really listened to me, even though he determined I was not a candidate for surgery at this time. I was very impressed with him and his staff.

Dr. Shah is very nice and knows how to treat his patients. My mother did not want to come but after meeting him she had nothing but good words about him. He deserves the rating I saw before meeting him. He in definitely a 5 on a 1-5 scale.

There's no follow up or follow through. I had to make an appointment to talk to anyone, and he said he would send in my medicine and didn't.

Everyone I had contact with from the employee that registered me to the doctor and everyone on between were great, great, great!!!
