My doctor is Thomas Powell and let me tell you his staff is absolutely amazing and he is the best doctor I have ever had. The bedside manor is above and beyond. He is extremely respectful and actually listens to all of your concerns and he always has the answers.

Everyone was attentive and efficient. The Doctor gave me great information and all options available to me. He explained them in terms I understood and made recommendations.

Everyone was very friendly. The doctor that waited on me I give him 10.

Until I was about to leave and mentioned that the surgeon did not speak to anyone in my family, did they call someone to come in. My husband is a thoracic surgeon at UAB and he said the surgeon, in elective cases like mine, always goes to talk to the family. He was disappointed and a bit surprised that the surgeon never even called him.

Dr. Powell is an example of what a physician should be. He listens and responds thoughtfully. He addresses concerns with solid facts and experience.

Dr. Powell and his staff were wonderful. They made my entire visit very comfortable. Dr. Powell was very thorough and explained every issue in detail. I highly recommend him!

The care was very good! The amount of time between arrival and departure was abysmal. Arrived at 1:40pm for a 2pm appointment, got into a room at 3:25pm, departed around 5:10pm.

Dr. Powell is kind, patient he answered every question that my husband and I had he is so very professional and caring he is a wonderful doctor and human

Except one nurse that was apparently having a bad day because I only asked her for directions and she made it seem like I shouldn't be there if I didn't know how to get where I needed to be.... However, I'm old enough to know that there will always be ""one""!

I would like to say that I was treated like I was part of a family from the time I walked into the doctor office for my initial consultation until the time I was discharged after surgery. My only complaint was the valet at St. Vincents. He was rude and acted as if I was a complete bother to him. Not pleasant dealing with him as I arrived for my surgery. However, as a RN myself, I was very impressed with UAB!

She is kind, very professional and has a beautiful smile. I will never use anyone else if I have any further needs.
