I was late for my appointment because my GPS took me all out the was. They still seen me and got me back quickly.

Came with bad infection in left knee area. Left with nothing but keep doing what you already are and maybe the untreated ( or even looked at) infection won't kill you

Dr. Mabry and the clinic staff were great. Longer wait than desired, but surgeons run into surprises so it is understandable.

I was not helped in the slightest. This is the second time i have been referred to highlands and the second time i was told they cant do anything for me.

Dr Mabry is a great Orthopedic Surgeon. I have had multiple joints replaced. All went as expected from preop literature description. You are placed in exam room at appointment time, seen by staff within 5 minutes. My post op journey was as expected

Pleasant staff treated me with kindness, answering all my questions, as well as giving me proper instructions on exercise routines to do at home.

Dr. Mabry has turned my life around today. No pain in my knee for the first time this year. The steroid injection has given me complete relief this morning. I walk up and down stairs today with no pain except for a new pain in my hamstring that we discussed. I cannot believe the relief. And from what he said, I think this weekend the steroid will kick in even more. He prescribed therapy for that so expect it will get solved also.

The quality if care I received inpatient was a bit insufficient. My block leaked. Only additional tape was placed on it. I went.to the bathroom unassisted at least 4 times on the first day of the procedure. Etc.

Just the visit in general

The appointment with Dr. Scott Mabry and his staff was scheduled for a follow-up to a right hip revision performed in [Month] of [year]. I was also having a new pain in my left knee which needed to be examined. When I arrived at clinic, I informed the staff of my left knee pain so the radiology group x-rayed both right hip and left knee for Dr. Mabry. I was initially seen by Dr. [ ], resident, and then Dr. Scott. They both reported that the hip repair was successful and ready to resume normal activities. My knee exam did not reveal any osteoarthritis so a steroid injection was administered to the knee by Dr. Scott. The physicians were assisted by physician assistant Rachael. The entire staff spent time with me, evaluated my joints and explained their conclusions and recommended follow-up for me. Additionally, Physical therapy on my knee was prescribed which will begin next week. The steroid injection was particularly helpful and the knee is essentially pain free at this time. I recommend the practice for your orthopaedic needs.

This clinic, as compared to Gardendale Ortho Clinic, tends to run behind. My wait was >1 hr. post appointment time. Drs. and Staff are wonderful.

I think UAB Highlands is a great hospital. My mom & other family members have used this hospital for many years and have always been pleased. The only issue I have is the parking payment method. I don't mind paying but the scanning, putting in codes and tag numbers is very confusing to older patients. It would be much easier if it were more like other UAB locations. Thank you
