Biography

My procedural expertise is in the area of general endoscopy and advanced endoscopy including: diagnostic and therapeutic endosonography and endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreaticography, drainage of pseudocyst, necrosis, and abscess, and endoscopic removal or large polyps, early cancer, and therapy of Barrett's esophagus and cancer

I am the Director of Endoscopy at UAB and have overseen an increase in the number and kind of procedures performed. I improved the efficiency, throughput, safety and quality in the endoscopy unit.

I am the director of advanced endoscopy at the VA Hospital. I initiated advanced endoscopy services and steadily increased the volume of such procedures performed at the Birmingham VA Medical Center.
