Was good! Dr Bowers gave me fluids before procedure because my heart rate was up 139/127 when I got I v placement. They said I was dehydrated. Dr Russ explained the procedure well to me.

Although a colonoscopy is not fun, the UAB people make it much more tolerable. (Using the word 'people' to signify how human and caring everyone was.) I felt understanding and empathy.

All staff from reception thru prep, procedure and recovery were professional, pleasant and were careful listeners. Timing and waits were reasonably close to being on schedule and much better than in recent years.

I have had dissatisfaction with some of the other departments but the endoscopy group was outstanding. They were on time, professional, and made an unpleasant procedure better. Dr. Russ is an outstanding physician. I am glad to have him on my side.

I've been very pleased with the medical staff so far; a positive improvement from my recent provider. I am hopeful that my condition will improve under their care and communication will not be an issue like I've had in the past with other facilities.
